You Have a Divine Purpose
If you're feeling somewhat lost, like you're not quite sure what to do, where to go next and questioning why you're here at all, please stop for a moment. Start to consider yourself from a different point of view.
If you've ever asked yourself, "What am I here for? What is the meaning of all this," and asked the question in a negative way as if you were saying, "This is all pointless," you need to change the way you're looking at this and ask the question in a different light.
The Power of Forgiveness
While we always have the choice to look to the positive, we have to acknowledge that life is not always a bed of roses. Things don’t always turn out the way we hoped or imagined they should, even if we’ve done absolutely everything right. We get let down, badly hurt, by people we love dearly, and we thought would never hurt us. Quite naturally, we get angry. If we let the anger stew, it turns to bitterness and resentment, even to hatred if we permit it.
Happiness is a Decision
I once heard someone say that sometimes you can't always choose happiness, and it really made me think. Is that actually true? Are there circumstances or individuals who make it impossible for us to choose happiness? Well, certainly there are circumstances and people that may certainly make it difficult. But difficult is not impossible.
Challenge Your Beliefs
Today, I would like to offer you a challenge that will help you to understand how your beliefs impact your experience of reality and what you attract into your life. Most people don't take the time to examine what their beliefs are and they stumble through life as a result, often with little or no direction. Becoming aware of your beliefs and then determining to change those that are not supportive is a huge first step in changing your life.
Now here's the challenge:
You Can't Change the Wind But You Can Change Your Sails
It’s not what happens to us in our lives, but what we do with what happens that makes the true difference. This is a notion, a truth, that has its roots in 100% responsibility, and this is precisely why many people do not believe or agree with it and often respond with anger to it.
When you look at your life, you have to understand that you must take all the responsibility for where you are right now. Your current situation is the product of your thoughts and actions up to this point.
Choose Your Thoughts Carefully
We hear that our thoughts are powerful in metaphysical, new-age circles these days. They have the power to shape the course of your life, determine your destiny, and even have obvious physical effects on your body. The quality of your thoughts can either make or break your life. It is certainly worth considering the idea that our thoughts are not simply random and meaningless. Their effects may be more far-reaching and powerful than any of us realise.
Imagine that you own ten houses that are built close together in a little community. Now let's say that you rent all ten houses out to different people. Three of the houses get rented out to decent, hard-working, normal couples with children. But the other seven houses are rented out to criminals - thieves, drug dealers and the like. What do you imagine will happen to the three normal families after some time has passed living among these criminals?
